We have a plant restoration day happening this Saturday 13th May from 10am to 12pm instead of on Sunday because it is Mother’s Day.
Normally FOOB meet every second Sunday of the month, from 10am to 12pm, to remove invasive plants.
Please join Kane, who will be leading the day, at the end of Duck Creek Road in Stillwater, (in front of the Stillwater Community Hall). We will be removing Chinese privet. As always we will supply the gear including rubberised gardening gloves and face masks but if you have thicker gloves or any other gear you would like to bring please feel free to do so.
We will also be collecting native seeds to be grown in a nursery then later planted out once big enough. Mary Gallagher is the contact person for this. Afterwards if you are interested, you can then go to the nursery, and plant the seeds in seed trays, pricking out or whatever is required for different plants at different stages.
Thank you!
